This Membership Model allows us to be present for your family without any constraints from an outside party like an insurance company. We have longer visits to allow time to get to know our patients and answer all questions. Our patients can be in contact with us in many ways (phone, text, video, email) which increases access and convenience of care. - To provide vaccines for our members, we have partnered with VaxCare, a company that provides vaccines to us and bills your insurance.

No. Dr. Miles and Dr. Sant are “Out of Network” for insurance plans and are not Medicaid or Medicare primary care providers. 

ThriveWell Pediatrics is not a substitute for health care insurance. You should continue to carry health insurance to cover emergencies, surgeries and other unexpected health care situations. By choosing to be part of our Direct Primary Care practice, you may wish to consider different options for health insurance such as a high-deductible plan or wrap around plan. Please consult with an insurance professional to guide your decision.

Yes, we believe in developing strong relationships with our patients and families. All children must be members of the practice to receive Primary Care with us.
However, non-members may take advantage of Integrative Consults and the 4th Trimester package that we offer outside of the membership practice. 

We LOVE that your child is healthy! Our goal is to partner with you to help keep them healthy. You never know, though, when an illness, injury or question will happen. What if you could just send a text, email or call and get a timely response directly back from your doctor?

One simple Urgent Care visit locally costs a minimum of $200 out of pocket not counting the added charges of strep or flu swabs, for example. All of this would be included in your membership. Avoiding even ONE trip to the ER with the best insurance can easily cost significantly more than the cost of membership.

We are our members’ personal pediatricians. Small town doctors in this big city. We are available for phone, text, video and email when you have a question. We are there for your family should your child develop any health issues, big or small. 

Yes! We offer house calls for newborns and for sick visits for all ages within the radius shown on the map in our Current Price List (available through the “Find Out More” box on our Home page). Home sick visits are done when appropriate and at the sole discretion of the physician. Home visits for 0-3 month olds are included in our “4th Trimester” Package. Video and phone visits are also included in your membership fee and can often resolve many issues.
 

Either way, we always practice integrative care, so we can guide your family on herbs, homeopathy, supplements and many other modalities of care, as well as medicines when needed.   

No, but that is a good thing, because in the hospital, care is provided by specialists called “pediatric hospitalists”. Unlike us, they have the expertise to handle everything that might come along, and they are there 24-7.

Your ThriveWell Pediatrician will be in frequent communication with your family and your child’s doctors. Our goal is be your partner and advocate at a difficult time. 

As always, we encourage you to contact us during your child’s hospitalization with any concerns you have. 

It is only on a very rare occasion that the physicians will be out of town at the same time, so except for extenuating circumstances, one of us will be available and covering for the other. When appropriate, care can be provided via virtual visits which includes calling in prescriptions and ordering tests if needed. 

The one-time enrollment fee is due at the start of your membership. Your membership fees are charged monthly to your bank account or credit card, or you may pay the annual fee up front and enjoy a 10% discount. 

Yes, you may cancel your child(ren)’s membership at any time with a 30 day written notice. We ask that families consider a 3 month commitment when enrolling in the practice in order to have time to experience the value of our model of care. There is a re-enrollment fee  to rejoin the practice.

There may be fees related to labs, X-rays, procedures or other services rendered that are not included in our listed membership benefits.  You will be informed of any possible fees that may apply prior to the services being ordered or performed.  Our goal is for prices to be completely transparent so that you can make informed choices before a bill comes. There will be no surprises as often happens with insurance plans.
