Fermented foods ...What About Them?

Fermented foods .... what's so good about them?
Firstly, they taste good and secondly, they are good for you!

Yogurt, kefir, kombucha, pickles, sauerkraut, miso (and Dr. Sant's favorite Indian foods - dosas and idlis!) are all examples of fermented food and drink. The fermentation of veggies, grains or dairy creates a more easily digestible food. đźŚ±

Fermented foods are chockful with probiotics which are the healthy bacteria we need in our gut to stay and be healthy. Gut bacteria contribute to keeping our immune system responsive which in turn keeps our general health robust.

So, pick a fermented food or drink to try with your family. Experiment! It will do your body good.
